Rose Ann Berberich

Mrs. Berberich is a Social Studies teacher at the Academy for Urban Leadership Charter School.I have been a teacher since 2007 and came to AUL in 2010. I have my degrees in Teacher of Social Studies and Teacher of Students with Disabilities.  I enjoy teaching students all the various courses under the Social Studies umbrella. My philosophy of teaching centers on the belief that every student is unique and has the potential to learn and grow. I see my role as a facilitator of learning, creating a supportive and inclusive environment where students feel valued and empowered to explore their interests and develop critical thinking skills. I prioritize student engagement, active participation, and practical application of knowledge. I encourage curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset, emphasizing not only the acquisition of content knowledge but also the development of essential life skills. Ultimately, I aim to inspire a lifelong love of learning, fostering independent thinkers who are prepared to navigate an ever-changing world.
